The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is the largest provider of hands-on environmental conservation programs for youth and young adults. Our program participants protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks and community green spaces across the country. After working with the SCA, program participants emerge with increased environmental awareness, social responsibility and leadership skills.

TANGO International, a global leader in food security, livelihoods, and resilience, is hiring a graduate student to serve as a junior associate and support primary and secondary research for existing assignments, including evaluations, assessments, policy papers, strategy documents, guidelines, and/or literature reviews.

Community Gardens of Tucson (CGT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing local residents with the space, tools, and support to grow food, build community, and promote sustainable gardening practices throughout the Tucson area. The Garden Education Intern will support Community Gardens of Tucson’s youth garden education programs, with a primary focus on helping teach elementary school students in the garden.

The Digital Communications Intern at the Environmental Defense Fund would help create social media content and support digital outreach for environmental and policy advocacy campaigns. Responsibilities include designing graphics and videos, writing social media messaging, monitoring online trends, and identifying digital communities where EDF can share its work. The internship is part-time (20 hours/week) during Spring 2027, pays $18/hour, and is remote or hybrid in Washington, D.C.

The Healthy Communities Communications Intern at the Environmental Defense Fund would help communicate environmental health issues, including air pollution, toxic chemicals, and climate-related health risks, to public audiences. Responsibilities include writing social media posts, newsletters, and blog content, analyzing social media performance, monitoring media coverage, and creating marketing materials. The internship is in Spring 2027, offers 20 or 35 hours per week, pays $18–20/hour, and is remote or hybrid in San Francisco or Washington, D.C.
