Cats Optimizing Recycling Education (CORE) is a new project that expands Housing’s efforts to better understand recycling behavior on campus and maximize educational interventions. Reporting to Housing’s Senior Coordinator of Sustainability Operations and Initiatives and collaborating with a Graduate Assistant, the Student Recycling Specialist will play a large role in carrying out this project and combatting the issue of recycling contamination in the dorms.
The role of Environmental Education and Outreach Intern will be to engage the public in conversations and experiences that promote a greater understanding of and appreciation for the Sonoran Desert and highlight the impact of climate change and associated issues (e.g., invasive species) that threaten our community’s amazing biodiversity. This is an AmericCorps position through Northern Arizona University.

The Stoner Lab at the University of Arizona's School of Natural Resources and the Environment is seeking to hire 2-3 students for a paid internship. The internship involves supporting PhD Candidate Mallory Davies in processing and cleaning data for a study on nectar-feeding bats. The position includes data processing and lab work at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Additionally, there will be opportunities to assist with bat capture surveys at various sites in southeastern Arizona.

Perform a variety of duties to support the Outdoor Recreation Department of Campus Recreation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to leading and facilitating groups through a variety of team-building activities and outdoor programming. Inspection, repair and upkeep of bicycles, rental gear, bouldering wall and trip equipment in a timely manner in order to accommodate classes, trips and ongoing rentals, and to maintain clear and concise records. These activities may occur at the Rincon Vista Complex, Student Recreation Center, North Recreation Center, Campus Bike Station or alternative off-site facilities.
The Future of Food and Social Justice Youth Storytelling Lab AY 24-25 Call for Undergraduate Interns

Are you passionate about issues of food and social justice? Would you like to gain experience in audio, visual, or written forms of storytelling? Are you interested in organizing with other youth to make positive change in the world, and having fun in the process?
The Center for Regional Food Studies (CRFS) at the University of Arizona invites applicants for a semester-long paid internship with “The Future of Food and Social Justice Youth Storytelling Lab."

This student will also assist with planting, caring for plants and insect cultures, and washing pots, insect cages and labware. Some weekend work will be required, including some greenhouse work. The student needs to be willing to do some work outside during the summer. An interest in biology is preferred but not required.
