The Marshall Foundation Dissertation Fellowship is intended for graduate students who are in the completion stage of their dissertation and who have exhausted all other funding resources except for loans.

This program provides six graduate fellowships per year to exceptional graduate students interested in promoting the understanding of space-related research to the public and who are studying in space sciences/engineering, public policy, earth sciences, science education, and global change-related fields.

The Agnese Nelms Haury Program in Environment and Social Justice in 2020 announced its new Tribal Resilience Initiative (TRI). The TRI has two primary components: (1) to support tribal and Indigenous research and policy outreach that furthers water resilience goals of Native American and Indigenous communities, and that displays respect for traditional knowledge and tribal sovereignty; and (2) to strengthen the academic pipeline for Native American and Indigenous Resilience students, and scholars, with an emphasis on UArizona programs and people devoted to Native and Indigenous resilience education, research, and outreach.

The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to American Indian nations or to the environment.

The UBRP enhances undergraduate education by partnering with research resources of the University of Arizona to provide opportunities for students to participate in mentored, self-directed work which contributes to the fund of new knowledge.

The UROC administers a number of undergraduate research programs, including NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs). In addition, the program supports opportunities for research training and graduate school preparation through faculty mentorships, professional development and graduate admissions workshops, GRE workshops, social opportunities, and presentation opportunities.

Travel stipends to professional meetings are available for graduate students pursuing a PhD, MA/JD, graduate certificate, or PhD minor in Gender & Women’s Studies at the University of Arizona. Funding may be provided to individuals traveling to a conference to present a paper or who have or will be attending a conference which they can demonstrate will advance their research and professional goals.
