This fall, the University of Arizona College of Science fused the power of geosciences with the pressing needs of our evolving world through the new Geosciences and Society B.A. degree.

Tailor-made for students who want to address the critical challenges facing our planet today, the program combines a robust geoscience curriculum with a foundation in one of three social science options: Law, Journalism, or Public Policy.

The various social science courses offered in the program provide a well-rounded understanding of the interdisciplinary areas essential for success in careers such as municipal government, science communication, law, policy, and secondary science education.
