Regional STEM Faculty Academy: An Equity-oriented, Anti-racist Community of Practice

When

All Day, June 4 to 10, 2023

With support from the Genentech Foundation, Northern Arizona University is hosting a weeklong, in-person Equity-oriented, Anti-racist Community of Practice for STEM faculty June 4-10, 2023. The Community of Practice will be on NAU’s campus in Flagstaff, Arizona. Participants receive lodging, food, and a $1000 stipend upon completion of the program. During the week, we will learn together and build our collective capacity to (1) better understand issues of inequity and structural racism with/in STEM spaces in higher education, (2) reflect on our own role(s) in contributing to and/or dismantling inequities in STEM doctoral education, and (3) develop action steps to transform STEM doctoral education to be more inclusive, equity-oriented, and anti-racist.
