About

The Arizona Institute for Resilience Environments and Societies (AIRES) and the Arizona Initiative for Resilience and International Development (AIRID) have partnered to launch the new Resilience Internships and Student Experiences (RISE) Program. This program will connect UArizona students to experiential education opportunities that cross academic boundaries and international borders.

The RISE Program, in collaboration with the Arizona Institute for Resilience Environments and Societies (AIRES) and the Arizona Initiative for Resilience and International Development (AIRID), will now provide students with internship opportunities to grow their core competencies to ready them for careers after graduation.

From summer 2022 to summer 2024, the RISE Program will place 200 students (undergraduate and graduate) in internships with federal, state, nongovernmental, and private organizations across the globe. These internships will vary greatly – some will be over the course of one semester, two semesters, or one summer. Please review the individual internships for more information. Make sure to check back on open internships as positions will be posted on a rolling basis.

If you are an individual or organization interested in submitting an internship proposal, please fill out the survey and download the budget template below.
