Tom Evans is a Professor in the School of Geography, Development and Environment and his research focuses on human-environment interactions. Past projects have focused on drivers of deforestation/reforestation and spatial modeling of land use change. More recent work has investigated the impacts of climate change on water and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa along with new research exploring the impact of COVID-19 on food security.
