Jianqiang Cheng is an assistant professor in the Department of Systems & Industrial Engineering at the University of Arizona. He holds PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Paris-Sud (11), France. His research interests are in developing computationally efficient techniques to solve large-scale optimization problems under uncertainty. In particular, Cheng has developed efficient approximation approaches to solve a variety of application problems encountered in power systems. He is a recipient of the Bisgrove Early Career Scholar Award. His research has been supported by National Science Foundation, Arizona Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, and National Institute for Transportation and Communities.
