Happy Spring Break to all! As we enjoy a much-needed respite from classes, we hope this week is filled with relaxation, excitement and fun. If you chose to stick around Tucson instead of voyaging afar, explore the myriad of environmentally-related events and activities around town this week! Here are just a handful of opportunities to consider:

Arizona State Museum – The University of Arizona Arizona State Museum is the oldest and largest anthropological research facility in the U.S. Southwest, curating millions of archaeological, ethnographic, and modern objects created by the Indigenous peoples of the region.

Biosphere 2 – With a decades-long history of innovation and research around survivability, resilience and sustainability, the University of Arizona's Biosphere 2 now serves as a center for research, outreach, teaching, and lifelong learning about Earth, its living systems, and its place in the universe.

Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea – The Botanical Garden’s new exhibit explores the story of six larger-than-life sea animal sculptures made of marine debris. Learn fascinating facts about the sea creatures they represent and get tips for what we can do to reduce plastic waste with a special guided tour led by marine biologist Dr. Albie Tross.

Raptor Free Flight – Enjoy the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert at the Raptor Free Flight show hosted by the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, where you can feel the brush of feathers as these amazing aerialists – the only raptor species in the world that hunt as a family – whiz by.
