Community Stewardship – Program Assistant

Short Description of your organization and mission: The purpose of Tucson Clean & Beautiful, Inc., a non-profit organization, is to preserve and improve our environment, conserve natural resources, and enhance the quality of life in the City of Tucson and eastern Pima County. These goals will be achieved through initiating educational and participatory programs implemented with a broad citizen, multicultural support.

Position Title: Community Stewardship – Program Assistant

Slot Type: 450 total hours, 12 hours/week for 38 weeks.

Reports To: Community Stewardship Department, Angelantonio Breault

Location: Tucson Clean and Beautiful

Primary Function/Purpose: This position works with the Community Stewardship department cultivating and coordinating Climate Action opportunities in high priority areas.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Identify and coordinate youth-led stewardship activities using the TCB Climate Action Hub project process.
  • GIS Mapping and Reporting using ESRI GIS applications such as Survey 123, ArcGIS, and Story Mapping.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of land and watershed stewardship activities such as clean-ups and invasive species management.
  • Volunteer Outreach and Coordination for Community Stewardship and other TCB Volunteer Opportunities.
  • Assist with Climate Action Leader summer camp coordination, outreach and engagement.
